A Pyramid of Collective Thought

Late Anil K. Sharma

Dark sky has lightening in its womb and humans have enlightenment in their golden heart. A cosmic wave flashes and transmits its energy into the instrumentality of the human mind. A spark in the human mind is called enlightenment. The enlightened world of thoughts has nurtured evolution over millenniums; and the pyramid of collective thought has been instrumental in breeding revolution in the minds of humankind. The civilizations step forward due to such human spark. The collective sparkling may have taken the toll of human life in millions but trillions must have been saved by such sparkling thoughts of humanism.

The Cultural Revolution of China and racial cleansing of Germany and now-a-days.

India’s social engineering may not have permanent roots in human psyche but occasional and sporadic resorting to such methodology is perilous for human existence. It is not social engineering to bridge gaps or gaping holes in the federal structure of composite-culture, rather it is an attempt parallel to the polarization of castes and communities which is prohibited by the Constitution of India.

Let hundred flowers bloom- but these flowers must not be of uniformity and hybrid cloning but should be of different colour and diverse hue for the garden of godliness and God. A pyramid of thought has to be built by giving due respect to the foundation stones of majority- Bahujan, masses, multitudes, have-nots, uneducated, illiterate, downtrodden, rural and rustics, depressed castes and classes. Elite class and rich classes comprising a minuscule population of the citizenry would not be able to represent the pinnacle of the pyramid unless and until foundational stones are well placed to bear the burden of the building of democracy.

A collective will of the people is reflected in the Parliamentary democracies but minority and majority will of the people demonstrated in the streets and bazaars results in ransom and rioting. Gandhiji tried to build a pyramid of collective thought to oust the colonial masters when the incident of Chauri-Chaura did happen. The non-cooperation movement was at its peak when it was taken back in 1931 by the Mahatma as the master craftsman of thought visualized and realized that some boulder in the structure of the great pyramid of movement gave way and the whole edifice was crumbling.

The pyramid of thought is built like a structural engineer does his job professionally and excellently. The stray thoughts do much more harm to the social structure than serve the cause of society as a whole. Small-time saints have mushroomed throughout the world and a large number of such psychopaths are housed in India. ‘Akhand Bharat’ may not attract pyramidal thought as the waves and vibes of Bande Matram stop at the doors of some bigots.

But the Hindustani way of life based on composite-culture has no antithesis in any stream of thought.

The battle of civilizations, the battle of books and battle of nerves and wits are unable to pierce the pyramidal thought of humanism which envisages feeding the empty bellies, the empowerment to vote for the largest democracy. But the feeding of humankind must not be at the time of elections only but it must have a perennial stream of food knocking the empty stomachs. Pyramidal thought must not emanate from the rescue operations only which are launched at the time of floods and drought, but humane practice should remain operative during the non-disaster times.

The disaster has already been done by the Divinity to the poverty stricken populace and now the humanitarian relief operations are needed. Should we wait for the divine disaster again to move and launch rescue operations? Are we looking to the skies for a thunderous disaster to signal rescue operations?

The divine has forsaken the multitudes throughout the world and at the same time the Almighty has empowered mankind to balance the acts of god by doing deeds of godliness and godliness. Be part of the pyramidal thought of humanism failing which your thought, speech and action would mingle in the dust of dreary desert with no footsteps seen on the tapestry of time.
