A Tribute to Dr Yayati Madan G. Gandhi

Looking back on all past achievements I deeply realized how I was blessed with the choicest blessings of revered Dr Yayati Madan Gandhi who was also a father figure to me. I must humbly admit that my aesthetically inspired creations owed their worth to Dr Gandhi’s benign influence on me. He not only inspired me with some unique ideas but also shared his pearls of wisdom during my writing career. Some of his ideas which got deeply embedded in my mind have enriched and facilitated my writings. It is surely because of some positive and valid reason that he appointed me editor-in-chief of 'The Poetry Society of India'. As such, I owe a big chunk of thanks to him for all he did for me, especially, for allowing me to serve him in the capacity of the editor-in- chief of The Poetry Society of India.

Our Tribute to Jayanta Mahapatra

We are deeply shocked at the sudden demise of the renowned Indo - English poet of our times Mr. Jayanta Mahapatra. A front - ranking literary personality, he wrote in both, English and Oriya -- his mother tongue. During his journey as a poet -- within a lifetime of ninety six years -- he has written as many as seventeen books of poems in English and has won several awards including the Sahitya Akademy.

His passing away leaves a void in the world of Indo - English literature. While paying tribute, the team Creativity Pen prays may his soul rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
